The CSS Central
Reservations System offers hoteliers with more than one property
the capability of centralizing reservation processing with a
fully integrated management package backed by a full service and
support program. This system will provide the Central
Reservations Office with the ability to give better guest service
while achieving increased operational and management control and
efficiency of the reservations operations.
All properties loaded in
the Central Reservation System database can be accessed by Search
Criteria. That is, the reservationist can bring up a property
based on key words, as requested by the prospect: swimming pool,
horseback riding, etc., thus narrowing the search for a property
that best fits a guests needs.
Hotels fitting the
search criteria that have availability for the requested dates
will be displayed on the screen. Hotels without availability will
also be displayed, however they will be "dimmed out" to
differentiate them from the available hotels. This will enable
the reservationist to offer a hotel, that may be a better fit, on
alternative dates.
Unlimited text can be
entered into the CSS System detailing features and amenities of
each property. having this information on line, as well as the
Search Function listed above, will eliminate the need for binders
of specific detail on each property cluttering up the
reservationists workstations.
Repeat Guest History
Data for each hotel can be stored on the Central Reservations
System. The past stay information on each guest is updated at the
time of the last departure. When a Repeat Guest wants to return
to the same property, or another property maintained on the CRS,
the past stay information is kept on line on the CRS and easily
accessed. This allows sister hotels in the group, as well as the
original hotel, to access this data and better service the guest.
