The CSS General Ledger handles all the basic functions you need to process general accounting, process statistical data, and print Profit & Loss Statements and Balance Sheets, as well as consolidate multiple companies in financial reports. 

In conjunction with the CSS Front Office System, most of your general ledger transactions are posted automatically as departments close their period.

• General Ledger Features:  In CSS, you have standard manual entry functions such as:  setting the GL date; entering and posting GL transactions; generating recurring GL batches; searching GL accounts; maintaining and printing recurring GL entries; and printing Profit & Loss Statements and Balance Sheets.

• Accounting & Statistical Reporting:  Our General Ledger tracks both general ledger and statistic ledger information.  Both the GL and the SL print 24 formats of Spread Profit & Loss Statements, 20 formats of Profit & Loss Statements, and five formats of Comparable Balance Sheets.  Track valuable statistics, like your Revenue Per Available Room (RevPAR), on a daily basis in your CSS Daily Report, and on a monthly basis in your CSS General Ledger and your P&L Statements. 

• Financial Statement Writers:  Your management has the flexibility to customize financial statements to your own specifications during CSS accounting system installation.  You define your property-specific financials.  You control line descriptions, amount fields, which totals print, and what values serve as divisors in the development of percentages.  The CSS Utilities menu also gives you the ability to change and maintain your own financial reports as your policies and procedures change.

• Inter-Company & Multiple Company Consolidation:  CSS multiple company capability allows you to run accounting operations for limitless companies, post inter-company GL transactions, and consolidate Profit & Loss Statements and Balance Sheets for complete financial reporting.

• Time-saving Functions:  The CSS General Ledger allows you to set up recurring journal entries that you may review and adjust as desired; automatically reverse accrual entries; and automatically distribute predetermined GL account transactions.

• Financial Report Control:  Our system allows you to re-run financial reports for prior periods at will.

• Automatic generation of GL revenue and statistical information from CSS Front Office:  CSS Front Office end-of-day and end-of-month processes automatically generate Daily Report and General Ledger data to the CSS Accounting Systems.
