The Housekeeping
functions provide information for the scheduling of room
attendants and reporting room status. Early morning reports are
used by the housekeeper to assign rooms for cleaning assignments.
Guests special
requests are listed on the morning cleaning schedules to alert
the housekeeping personnel of late sleepers, extra towels
required, pet in room, etc.
The CSS System allows
the scheduling of various levels of cleaning: Light Clean, Towel
Drop, Heavy Clean, etc., ideal for long stays and condominium
properties. This function can also be utilized for properties
that choose not to change the linen every day.
The housekeeping
department can also schedule rooms out-of-order, or sell-last (still sellable
but something may be in need of repair), for current as
well as future dates (e.g. because of painting, carpet cleaning,
etc.)
When rooms are cleaned,
the status of the housekeeping clean code can be changed to Need Inspection,
once inspected by a supervisor, the housekeeping department will change the status
of the room to clean. The vacant/occupied status is also entered.
This vacant/occupied status is compared to the front desks
vacant/occupied status to check for "sleepers" or
"skippers".
If this
is an available feature in the PBX System, the housekeeping room status can be
updated in the Inntegrity™ Front Office System by keying a code into the
guestroom telephone.
