CSS Telephone/PBX Interface

Telephone PBX Interface
Our CSS Front Office System handles many of your hotel telephone functions automatically when interfaced to your PBX system.  Most functions of our PBX interface will be invisible to you, happening automatically when you check guests in and out of our system.  Other benefits include such operations as allowing your housekeeping maid staff to report clean and dirty room statuses over the phone as rooms are cleaned.  Even without a PBX interface, you can utilize the Telephone component to track guest messages and delivery status.

CSS Telephone/PBX Interface At A Glance

  • Automated Telephone Activation:  With the CSS PBX interface, three functions are automatically activated upon check-in and automatically deactivated upon check-out:  The room phone extension to receive calls and track billing for long-distance and local service;  message waiting functions; and Do-Not-Disturb options for your guest.

  • Housekeeping features in PBX interface
  • Housekeeping Features:  With a capable phone system interfaced to CSS, your housekeepers can change a room's housekeeping status using the phone extension.  Once the room is clean, the housekeeper simply picks up the room phone and punches in a code that will immediately change the room's Housekeeping Status in the CSS Front Office System.   The code may be that the room is now clean, dirty, or needs inspection, depending on your policies.

  • Manual Options:  The CSS PBX interface also allows your staff to manually activate room phones and message waiting from within your CSS Front Office System.
